The City of Franklin, Wisconsin, Tourism Commission met on October 27, 2026. Members approved the September 29 minutes and an Engage Franklin payment voucher covering August 2026; the voucher amount was not clear in the transcript. The commission received an update on a proposed artificial-turf field at Croatian Park. City engineering, stormwater, and approval reviews are ongoing, and the club expects to seek construction bids after approvals. The field is intended to support a July 2027 Croatian soccer tournament, but construction timing and when the club would draw on its previously discussed grant funds remain undetermined. No new grant award or field contract was approved at this meeting.

Engage Franklin reported that its 2027 budget had been approved by its board and that visitor-guide advertising sales were underway; selling 10 ads would approximately cover the guide’s costs. Staff is considering a half-page ad in Travel Wisconsin’s destination guide, priced at $3,500, and expects to discuss a funding request with the commission at a future meeting. The commission also discussed a proposed low-cost process for hotels to report event-related room nights, to help evaluate grant outcomes and tourism activity. No vote on that process or the Travel Wisconsin ad was recorded.
