The November 3, 2026 Prescott City Council voting meeting included several procurement and capital-project items. Council approved consent items A and C 7–0, and separately approved City Contract 2026-071A1, an amendment to Contract 2026-071 with Earth Resources, for improvements to the city-owned parking lot at 209 South Montezuma Street; the vote was 6–1. Council also approved 7–0 a letter supporting the Friends of the Prescott Public Library’s acceptance of donated land for a future library extension. For West Granite Creek Park, council approved conceptual design option C, conditioned on reducing the parking-lot bump-out to eight feet and using a natural five-foot retaining wall; the motion passed 4–3. The discussion covered safety, drainage, flood regulations, preservation of the park, and anticipated design and construction timing, but no project cost was stated.

Staff and project teams provided informational updates on the Police Substation and Property and Evidence Facility and three fire-station projects, with no vote taken on those updates. The police project is funded through Proposition 478 and uses Arrington Watkins as architect and Wilming Construction as construction manager at risk (CMAR); its early estimate was approximately $48–$50.5 million, excluding property acquisition, with a further council update expected in January 2027. For fire stations 76 and 73, the CMAR is Core Construction. Estimates presented after projected savings were approximately $21.1–$21.6 million for Station 76 and $18.1–$18.5 million for Station 73; staff said some drainage and utility costs may be covered by other funding sources. Station 72 remained in design, with no estimate yet. The meeting also included public comments on homelessness and park preservation, department updates, and community announcements.
