Village Fest Board Meeting | October 27, 2026

The City of Palm Springs VillageFest Board met on October 27, 2026, and approved numerous applications for vendors to participate in VillageFest. Applicants presented handmade crafts, art and prints, candles, jewelry, quilts, food, olive oil products, educational materials, and outreach for arts and community organizations. No city contracts, purchasing decisions, budget allocations, or spending approvals were identified; the votes concerned vendor participation rather than municipal procurement.

Several approvals included product-specific restrictions tied to VillageFest’s handmade-product requirements: Coastal Chi Designs was approved for jewelry that the applicant hand-drilled and made, but not pieces that were only strung; House of Lady Chappelle was told to exclude trademarked character products; and Woody Shimko’s approval was limited to Mahjong jewelry. Sync You Up’s shirts were added to the application before the board voted. The board also deferred two new-business items to its next meeting and discussed logistics for the upcoming Pride celebration.
