The City of Belton Planning Commission met November 3, 2026. The commission approved project 26-032 for the VA clinic at 1900 East 173rd Street: vacation and relocation of a stormwater easement, a final plat, and a final development plan for a roughly 5,624-square-foot building addition and 43-space parking expansion. The plan includes a drainage easement, landscaping, and a parking-space-size modification. The commission also approved project 26-034, Freedom Flex’s final development plan for commercial flex and mini-warehouse space, subject to seven staff conditions; the applicant said it could address them. These were land-use and development approvals, not public contract awards or purchasing decisions; no procurement activity was identified.

Staff reported that the Unified Development Code revisions were under review by the consultant and City Attorney’s office, with a later presentation planned. The November 17 meeting was canceled because there were no agenda items; several items, including three public hearings, were expected December 1. The commission also noted vacancies following member resignations.
