At the Cornwall School District Board of Education business meeting on November 3, 2026, Tetra Tech representatives and Triton Construction provided an update on the district’s $65.7 million, voter-approved capital project. The five-phase plan includes a new buildings-and-grounds maintenance building and high-school athletic restroom/concession facility; fire alarm, public-address and clock replacements; middle-school access and site work; elementary-school additions and improvements; and later work at the district office and high school. The team is developing bid packages intended to attract bidders, with design and state education department review underway or planned, and construction anticipated to begin in summer 2027. The district said it would post regular project updates and emphasized coordinating construction to limit disruption to instruction and prioritizing work whose completion is essential for the start of school. Tetra Tech and Triton were identified as project-team participants; no new contract award or procurement vote was reported.
The board approved consent agenda items 2–4 and separately approved items 5–6, which were tax resolutions. Board members noted that the district must process the tax refunds but does not determine their amounts. Other discussion included committee reports and recognition of two National Merit semifinalists; no additional procurement activity was identified.
