The Barnstable Appointments Committee met on November 2, 2026, to interview candidates for town boards and commissions and review pending appointments. Kate Sherry discussed interest in the Comprehensive Financial Advisory Committee (CFAC) and Community Preservation Committee; Natalie Peters expressed interest in the Council on Aging; and William Peters favored the Infrastructure and Energy Committee, while also being open to the Airport Commission. The committee took no appointment votes on the candidates and deferred further consideration. Members scheduled a November 16 meeting to discuss CFAC and the Airport Commission; zoning appointments were held pending input from the board chair. The committee unanimously recommended reappointing Nancy Shoemaker to a regular-member position, and unanimously approved the prior meeting minutes.

During public comment, a speaker criticized a proposed $30–32 million airport expansion, arguing it would not be cost-free to residents and urging the town to scrutinize airport operations. This was public comment only; the committee made no spending, procurement, contract, or project-approval decision. No procurement activity was identified.
