The Marshfield School Committee met on November 3, 2026. Procurement and budget discussions included a draft capital budget: the district received funding for two of four requested special education vans and $145,000 for immediate Dana Webster roof repairs, with approximately $1.8 million in additional repairs still needed. The capital budget is scheduled for committee action at the next meeting and must be submitted to the town by November 20. Members also requested objective evidence and an updated punch list for the ongoing roof project. No contract awards or vendor selections were made. The committee reviewed the FY2027 athletics budget, including about $860,000 in operating expenses and a roughly $12,000 projected revolving-account gap. It unanimously approved a $300 fee for a student’s second sport, no additional fee for a third sport, and a $900 family cap for the remainder of the school year. The district reported improved fee collection after switching registration payment platforms. A proposed spring 2027 boys’ volleyball club, with a $150 participation fee and estimated startup costs of $2,480, was discussed, but no approval vote was recorded.

The committee also approved three school policies: time-out, seclusion and physical restraint; civil law enforcement interactions under the state Protect Act; and school visitors. These policy updates address state requirements and affect school procedures. Other discussion included student achievement and MCAS data; no additional procurement actions were identified.
