The Sherburne County Board meeting on November 3, 2026, included planning and land-use decisions, an economic development update, and a veterans proclamation. No contract awards, RFPs, vendor selections, or purchasing actions were identified. The board approved a preliminary plat for Preserve at Pine Meadows and approved cannabis-related land-use actions, including an interim-use permit with 18 conditions for a cannabis business in Big Lake and a related rezoning. Staff said a revised county cannabis ordinance is expected to come before the board in January 2027 to align with state rules taking effect January 1; a workshop was offered. The board also approved a proclamation designating November 4–13 as Operation Green Light for Veterans.

The board rejected the proposed comprehensive-plan land-use map amendment for Tula Garden LLC’s solar project. After discussion of residential impacts, setbacks, screening, and future solar expansion, the board passed a 3–2 motion directing staff to prepare reasons for denial of the related interim-use permit for consideration at the November 17 meeting. The economic development presentation reported five active businesses in the revolving loan fund, with $270,000 available, and seven homeowner rehabilitation projects; it also identified a proposed 683-acre sand-and-gravel project in Haven Township. These were updates rather than procurement approvals.
