Harrison County Schools Board of Education regular meeting, November 2, 2026. The board approved a motion to advance a comprehensive school realignment proposal and prepare an educational facilities plan amendment and closure impact statements. The proposal would close Salem and Lost Creek elementary schools for the proposed 2027–28 school year, merging Salem into Mountaineer Elementary and Lost Creek into West Milford Elementary; closure hearings and receiving-school hearings are to be scheduled.
