The Governing Board of CCUSD93 held a special meeting on October 29, 2026. The board received a facilities report on a major water-main break and related sewer, backflow-valve, and chiller problems affecting district office, Cactus Shadows, and Black Mountain. Administration reported that the failed pipe dated to the 1960s, described emergency repairs and cleanup, and said the district was seeking emergency funding from the School Facilities Division (SFD). Staff hope to complete a larger sewer-line repair over winter break with SFD funding and are considering site-level isolation valves; costs have not yet been determined. The report noted $6,000 saved by refurbishing a backflow valve and $9,000 by rehabilitating isolation valves. Sun Valley Builders and Outwest were mentioned for work creating an isolation valve, but no new contract award or purchasing approval was recorded.

The board also received an academic assessment and school letter-grade presentation, which noted that Arizona is going out for an RFP for its state assessment platform. The transcript does not identify a vendor, award, or board action on that RFP. In recorded actions, the board voted to end CCUSD93’s participation in the Apache Junction School District appeal and voted to terminate an employee; neither action involved a procurement decision.
