Sarpy County Board of Equalization and Board of Commissioners meeting, November 3, 2026. The Board of Equalization approved its consent agenda and a notice of evaluation change for omitted property. The Commissioners approved a bid award to Commonwealth Electric Company of the Midwest for $171,841.31 to replace and improve traffic-signal equipment near 25th Street and Fort Crook Elementary School and at 160th Street. The county received five bids, with the highest at about $270,000; the project is budgeted and expected to begin in the spring. The Board also approved two interlocal road-improvement agreements: a cost-sharing arrangement with SID 380 for 204th Street and Capehart Road improvements, and an agreement with SID 387 for improvements to Pflug Road at 132nd Street. A commissioner abstained from the latter vote because the commissioner’s law firm represents the SID.

The Board approved the 2027 employee benefit plan: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Nebraska coverage continues with no plan-design changes and a 10.7% premium increase; dental coverage moves to Sun Life with basic and enhanced options, vision moves to Unum, and Sun Life will provide long-term disability and listed voluntary benefits. The CFO reported that all $36 million in ARPA funds had been spent, including about $13 million for the correctional center, with public safety and critical infrastructure among the largest spending areas; no action was taken on that update. The Commissioners also approved their consent agenda. A first-quarter FY2027 financial update was presented, and the meeting adjourned without an executive session.
