The Burleigh County Commission meeting was held November 2, 2026. The commission approved the Highway Department’s 2027 fee schedule and equipment bids: Acme Tools was identified as the low bidder for a new 2027 Kubota M7 mower tractor, and Ardo Equipment was the apparent low bidder for three 2027 motor graders under five-year total-cost bids with guaranteed repurchase; one grader includes GPS. The commission also approved advertising for bids to repair Bridge No. 081-1820, a project included in the 2027 highway budget, with bidding expected before year-end. The repair was approved 4–1; staff said replacement was not currently supported by federal bridge funding. Commissioners received an update on the Apple Creek Road bridge project, which was reported to be within 2–3% of its contract amount.

The commission approved the bills and confirmed an earlier authorization to use reserve funds to reimburse affected taxing districts for a 2025 levy calculation error, with the amount discussed at approximately $913,000. It deferred a zoning-application refund request until staff provides a cost breakdown and suggested developing a consistent future policy for such refunds. The commission also approved a zoning ordinance revision with one provision removed for further review; shop condos remain listed in the industrial district while the county considers further definitions and rules. No other new contract awards were identified.
