At its November 3, 2026 meeting, the Denton County Commissioners Court unanimously approved several procurement and spending items. It approved renewal of Veracode SAST, DAST, and SCA software support from GB Tech Incorporated for $138,249.11 through Texas DIR cooperative contract DIR-CPO-5687, and approved the evaluation committee’s ranking of Barnes Works Group as the most qualified firm for Civil Courts building commissioning services under RFPQ232778. The Court also authorized miscellaneous vehicles and equipment to be auctioned and approved disposal of surplus salvage items. It recognized the Purchasing Department’s 31st consecutive Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award; this was an award recognition, not a contract award.

Other approved funding and service agreements included a $2.3 million FY 2026–27 social services agreement with Denton County MHMR Center, an agreement with CASA of Denton County and Span Incorporated, and an interlocal agreement with Argyle ISD Police Department for use of county radio communications. The Court also approved a warrant-entry maintenance and confirmation services agreement with the City of Highland Village. Following a public hearing, it adopted a revised 6% inpatient and 6% outpatient assessment rate for the Local Provider Participation Fund, using Medicare cost-report and upper-payment-limit methodology requested by the state; the presenter said this clarified calculation and documentation requirements rather than substantially changing the program. The Court approved a public-health grant budget-category redistribution without changing the contract amount and a revised WIC notice of award. All recorded votes on these items were unanimous.
