The City of Webster Groves Green Space Advisory Commission met on November 2, 2026. The commission discussed possible 2027 collaborations with the public library, including sustainability programming, an Arbor Day poetry/art contest, seed sharing, and a native plant swap. The library director said printing contest materials could be a shared-cost project; no amount was provided and no spending decision was made. She also noted that the library’s recent tax increase would support its 2027 goals and advised that meeting-room bookings for April–June would open December 1.

Other discussion covered the Tree of Distinction program, a possible visit to a newly designated arboretum, and Green City planting plans for 22–26 trees, with utilities marked and planting scheduling still to be arranged. Members discussed preparing a letter to City Council expressing support for sustainability considerations in the city manager selection process; Rory and Jean were authorized to draft and submit it. The commission also recommended that subcommittees consider next year’s work plans and budgets, noting resources are limited. No contract awards, bids, or other procurement approvals were identified.
