The City of Snoqualmie Parks & Public Works Committee met October 6, 2026. Valley Pool Together board president Kate Lean briefed the committee on a possible regional Park and Recreation Service Area (PRSA) to fund and operate a pool; no decision or vote on forming a district was taken. The presentation cited a December 2025 facility estimate of approximately $68 million and estimated annual operating costs of $850,000. Formation would require 50% voter approval, while a proposed funding levy would require 60%; King County would fund the initial feasibility study and formation election. The committee discussed governance, boundaries, long-term voter support, and potential funding sources, but no procurement or spending action was approved.

Staff also began a presentation on the 2027–28 biennial budget and capital program, including street resurfacing, sidewalk and ADA improvements, playground replacements, parking lots, trails, sports courts, and city facilities. Staff noted that a state/federal railroad-crossing grant involved support from the Northwest Railway Museum, that no other significant grant applications were underway, and that a federal appropriation request for the Metobrook Bridge remained uncertain. The budget discussion was not completed, and no related contract awards or purchasing approvals were recorded. The committee also received an update on the pavement-condition website map.
