The Snoqualmie Finance & Administration Committee met on October 20, 2026, to review the upcoming council agenda and the mayor’s preliminary 2027–2028 biennial budget. The committee advanced Resolution 1757, adopting the Snoqualmie Valley School District’s 2026–2031 Capital Facilities Plan, to the council consent agenda, and recommended that the related ordinance updating 2027 school impact fees proceed to council for first reading. The proposed fee structure varies by housing type and bedroom count; discussion cited a $17,251 fee for single-family homes with three or more bedrooms. Claims and warrants were also slated for council consent. The upcoming council agenda includes a bank stabilization contract amendment and change order, but the committee did not discuss its terms or take action on it during this meeting.
Budget discussion included proposed facility expenditures of $225,000 for painting and cleaning, $135,000 for heating and cooling maintenance, and $60,000 for a facilities condition and maintenance plan; staff said the plan amount was a one-time expense and agreed to clarify its basis and budget treatment. The mayor’s proposal also includes a $300,000 general-fund transfer for additional facilities work. Finance staffing and purchasing/contract-administration capacity were discussed, including four proposed positions costing about $560,000 in 2027, but no budget approval or staffing vote occurred. The proposal would add an assistant city attorney ($177,000 in 2027 and $189,000 in 2028) while reducing outside-counsel spending; this was presented as a budget proposal, not a contract award. No vendors were selected and no procurement awards were made.
