The City of Liberty Lake Community Engagement Commission met on October 21, 2026 (the meeting title date; metadata lists October 22). Members approved the agenda and September 16 minutes. Discussion focused on developing a proactive community-engagement plan and handout, identifying community events and volunteer opportunities for Home for the Holidays, and building a marketing calendar. Members also considered how to share accurate city information on social media; they agreed to review the idea further, with no decision to begin a formal response effort. The next meeting was set for November 18, with a draft handout and marketing-calendar report planned for the agenda.
A member reported that City Council had discussed a city-led sidewalk master plan, which reportedly received support from the council members present; estimated repairs to the most severely damaged sidewalks were described as exceeding $300,000, but no funding or procurement decision was made. The council also adopted a black-and-white city logo by a 5–1 vote; the design was provided through an existing Visit Spokane partnership at no additional design cost, and color development may follow. The commission noted upcoming City Council preliminary-budget workshops. No contract awards, bids, or other procurement activity were identified.
