The September 23, 2026 Sedro-Woolley City Council meeting included several procurement and spending actions. The council approved the revised budget and financial policies, and authorized Public Works to purchase one Subaru Crosstrek Sport for no more than $31,595. Staff said the vehicle was available through the state contract after hybrid options were unavailable. The council also approved early termination and non-renewal of the city’s Flock ALPR camera contract; staff said it would seek a possible refund, estimated at up to $3,000. For the Jones Liner project, a motion was made and seconded to authorize Supplement No. 4 with David Evans and Associates, not to exceed $65,000, bringing the agreement total to $731,187; the transcript does not capture the final vote. The supplement covers additional design work, including project changes and final review, ahead of planned construction in spring.
Staff reported that the Northern State Cemetery improvements are largely installed, with vegetation planting and an obelisk installation remaining; the obelisk is expected to list about 1,400 names. The council discussed proposed public-records policies and code amendments, but no final action is recorded. A council member also reported that Skagit Transit is pursuing a grant application for a proposed two-year, approximately $2.8 million microtransit service in Sedro-Woolley and Anacortes; the transit board had not acted on the application. The council agreed to arrange a presentation on microtransit.
