The City of Liberty Lake Community Engagement Commission met on July 22, 2026. The commission discussed public engagement for a proposed city logo redesign, with an online survey and Farmers Market outreach planned. Staff said Visit Spokane is providing the design work through the existing partnership at no additional cost to the city; no new contract or spending approval was considered. The commission also received an update on the sidewalk master plan, prepared with SCJ Alliance, which assessed nearly 8,000 sidewalk segments. The city plans further public engagement on repair priorities and possible funding approaches, including the current ordinance assigning some repair responsibility to property owners. No funding model, repair contract, or ordinance change was approved.

The commission discussed outreach for the 2027 budget, including explaining program costs and city services to residents. Members voted to schedule a special meeting for July 30 at 4:30 p.m. to learn about budget development and prepare for public engagement; they also moved the marketing-calendar item to a future meeting. No procurement awards or budget allocations were identified.
