The City of San Gabriel Community Services Commission held its regular meeting on November 2, 2026. The commission discussed the city’s Ride SG microtransit program and its contracted service providers. Staff said the city transitioned from Transdev to LAZ Parking in July 2025 after an RFP, citing lower potential fees and alignment with the city’s customer-service goals; RideCo manages the mobile application. Staff also discussed replacing a vehicle lost after an accident and potentially acquiring two larger vans to increase accessible capacity and provide a backup vehicle. No vehicle-purchase approval, cost, or related vote was recorded. The commission asked for additional information on program usage and marketing to inform its work plan.

The commission interviewed one of two applicants for the six-month youth ambassador program and reviewed the other applicant’s application. A motion to appoint both applicants passed 3–0, with two commissioners absent; the ambassadors are expected to begin at the December meeting. The commission also approved the October 5 meeting minutes by a 3–0 vote. No other procurement actions were identified.
