11/2/2026 Oak Park Planning Commission Meeting (LIVE)

The City of Oak Park Planning Commission met on November 2, 2026. The Commission unanimously approved a site plan for Oak and Olive Mediterranean restaurant at 15411 West 9 Mile Road, subject to nine conditions recommended by the planning director; the applicant’s next step is City Council review. The meeting also noted an administrative approval for Romek Motor Werks at 8665 Capitol Street. No contract awards, bids, purchasing decisions, or spending allocations were discussed.

Consultants from Giffels Webster presented a progress update on the master plan, including conceptual redevelopment opportunities, housing and commercial uses, transit and traffic-calming considerations, and possible future zoning and parking-standard reviews. These were planning recommendations, not procurement actions. A public works update said Church Street was expected to reopen in December, with the adjacent park opening later; no project costs or contract actions were provided. The Commission also elected officers and approved the September 8 minutes and meeting agenda.
