The Santa Clara County Human Trafficking Commission meeting was held November 6, 2026. The District Attorney’s Human Trafficking Task Force reported on enforcement and victim-support work, including operations associated with major sporting events and investigations spanning multiple cities. Reported results included 56 suspected traffickers arrested, 79 sex buyers cited, and more than 147 people with potential trafficking indicators contacted, including 21 minors. Other investigations involved five arrests and approximately $1.1 million in seized assets, and a separate case with three arrests and nearly $3 million in suspected illicit assets. The task force requested support for discussions with law-enforcement and city leaders about assigning more full-time personnel; commissioners also discussed whether asset-forfeiture proceeds could help fund victim services or partner-agency participation, but no funding or staffing decision was made.

A key procurement update concerned the South Bay Coalition to End Human Trafficking’s transition from Community Solutions to Movement Strategy Center. The county contract was in the final stages and with the procurement department for approval; a related City of San Jose/San Jose Police Department contract transfer was also underway. No contract amount or award vote was reported. The commission received the task force and coalition reports, and approved the consent calendar. Presenters also described reduced funding and grant uncertainty affecting services, along with planned labor-trafficking training and outreach; no new grant or expenditure was approved.
