At the November 3, 2026 meeting of the Southaven, Mississippi Mayor and Board of Aldermen, the board approved several procurement actions. It approved consolidating the city’s landscape-maintenance work under Michael Hatcher and terminating the other contract; authorized an OSB Services contract for the Police Department generator project for $194,850; and rejected all bids for the Snowden Grove arch sign project, authorizing a rebid because the lowest bid was outside the available budget. The board also approved a master contract with Urban Art and Task Order 27 for planning and design services for a fire and police training facility, along with Urban Art and Civil Link task orders for an indoor tennis facility. It approved a $119,617.61 sole-source Parks Department equipment upgrade for the Aloha point-of-sale system from Hospitality Control Systems, identified as the sole seller of the required equipment. A resolution declaring certain Utilities Department property surplus was also approved.

Discussion of the tennis project covered a scalable design of up to 12 courts and potential funding through park revenues and general-obligation debt, but the board did not settle the final court count or bond amount at this meeting. The mayor said financial figures and a further discussion with Raymond James were expected later, and proposed a workshop on roundabouts and related infrastructure improvements. The board also appointed Ray Humphrey to represent Southaven on the DeSoto County Regional Utility Authority and Chuck Roberts to the Planning Commission for Ward 6. No contract amount was stated for the landscape-maintenance work or Urban Art and Civil Link task orders.
