The School District of Menomonee Falls Finance and Personnel Committee met November 2, 2026. The committee received an update on the district’s ongoing facilities assessment and capacity study, with a draft report anticipated by the end of 2026 and staff listening sessions planned for January or February 2027. The facilities discussion referenced the Valley View elevator as the current year’s capital improvement project, a needed dust collector for the high school technical education area, and possible HVAC-control improvements informed by the Ben Franklin environmental review. No contract awards, bids, or procurement approvals were made. The monthly financial report was described as on track; Fund 80 had about $110,000 in additional local revenue, attributed to higher Kids Inc. participation and fee adjustments, while Fund 10 purchase-service expenditures were lower than the prior year, partly because roofing work occurred last year.

The committee discussed teacher salary adjustments using a previously approved $152,000 allocation. Members gave staff direction to raise the lowest salary step from $44,500 to $46,500, address compression among employees with zero to five years of service, and distribute as much of the remaining allocation as possible among other teachers. This was discussion guidance rather than a formal vote. A broader union salary-schedule proposal was estimated to cost more than $220,000 beyond the existing plan, with additional costs possible as returning employees are placed on the schedule; no additional funding or budget adjustment was approved. The committee also reviewed an employee survey, which identified compensation, communication, and professional development among staff concerns, but took no related spending action.
