The Knoxville Public Officer’s regular unfit-buildings hearing was held October 30, 2026. The officer issued corrective-action orders for five properties: 926 West Emerald Avenue, repair or demolition within 90 days (the owner said demolition was planned); 2208 Adair Avenue, repairs to the house and accessory structure within 90 days; 314 Dallas Street, repair or demolition within 120 days; 5104 Camellia Road, repairs within 90 days; and 2937 Whittle Springs Road, repairs within 60 days. The owner of 314 Dallas Street received additional time to demonstrate progress, including pursuing permits and a repair plan. Staff said extensions could be considered where owners showed progress and stayed in contact.

The officer also approved boarding actions and affirmed related charges for seven properties: 4521 Fawney Lane, 3312 Forestdale Avenue, 5536 Jacksboro Pike, 2311 Jones Street, 1719 Mississippi Avenue, 300 Oak Park Drive, and 2325 Roundtree Road. No dollar amounts were stated. These were code-enforcement and property-safety actions; no procurement, contract award, or purchasing decision was identified.
