At the October 26, 2026 meeting of the CTV Santa Cruz County Board of Directors, the board unanimously approved the consent agenda, including the September financial reports, and approved finance committee recommendations to address a $21,921 FY 2026–27 budget gap. The gap was attributed to reduced revenue after Spanish captioning did not proceed and previously unaccounted-for costs. The approved actions included operating-budget adjustments and a transfer from current assets; the executive director and accountant were directed to seek budget savings and report progress in January. Members noted that the Bank of America operating balance was approximately $120,000 and that other reserves were held in instruments with varying maturity dates. The board also approved the appointment of a new executive director.

The board discussed the FY 2026–27 funding proposal and contract with Santa Cruz County and the City, which was under review and awaiting approvals and signatures. The proposal seeks a three-year term instead of another one-year agreement; the board may convene a special meeting to approve it if needed to avoid delays. No contract award or purchase was approved at this meeting. A board member raised a possible studio-lighting upgrade and agreed to help develop a proposal for future consideration; this was not a formal spending action.
