The North Andover Conservation Commission met October 28, 2026, to review wetlands permits, compliance matters, and municipal project designs. The commission unanimously issued a certificate of compliance for the Stevens Street culvert work by the North Andover DPW. It approved a modification for the Great Pond Road boat-launch project, selecting option four and granting a waiver for work within the 25-foot no-disturb zone; approval was conditioned on staff receiving walkway construction details. The commission also approved several small residential projects and determinations, including deck and retaining-wall work, and lifted enforcement orders for 85 Colonial Avenue and 197 Hickory Hill Road. For the 449 Summer Street enforcement order, it approved amendments allowing supervised cleanup and requiring spring restoration planting and a future filing for proposed yard work.
The commission closed the hearing on the town’s Berry Street/Turnpike Street project after discussion of revised drainage grading and pipe orientation; a decision was expected at a later meeting. It also provided nonbinding feedback on access options for fields near the proposed fire station, weighing wetland impacts, tree removal, and DPW operations. The commission unanimously approved the fire-station order of conditions, including snow-management requirements and a $25,000 bond. No contract awards, vendor selections, bid approvals, or spending allocations were identified; the meeting’s actions concerned environmental permits, project conditions, and compliance rather than procurement.
