🏗️ Construction & Infrastructure 🚨 Public Safety Physical Infrastructure Grants & Funding

The October 27, 2026 regular voting meeting of the Hardin County Fiscal Court included approval of a fiscal year 2026–27 budget amendment (Ordinance 347-2). The amendment removed a $2 million Kentucky Infrastructure Authority grant pass-through for two water districts that was no longer needed; a proposed increase in the fire department’s vehicle and equipment premium was also discussed, with officials noting it might change. The amendment passed. The court also approved a roughly $2,600 Kentucky Emergency Management pass-through grant for the volunteer TRACERS search-and-rescue team to replace aging equipment.

The consent agenda passed, including routine financial reports, claims, payroll and transfers, a drainage-structure repair project on Berrytown Road funded on an 80/20 basis (with the contributing share capped at $80,000), and approximately $6,500 for accessibility software to support ADA compliance. The agenda also included road and EMS personnel changes and committee minutes. No vendor selections or contract awards were identified.
