Planning Commission - 20 August 2026

The City of Mill Creek Planning Commission held a study session on the 2026 comprehensive plan and annual municipal code updates. The commission approved the July 27 meeting minutes. Staff described proposed comprehensive plan amendments covering the South Town Center, park classifications, and transportation: Central Park and Sponge Park would be combined as a community park, North Creek Gateway Park added as a neighborhood park, and several roads reclassified as collectors. Staff said Silver Crest Drive has a proposed capital project to rebuild it; no cost, contract, or procurement action was presented. Park impact fees were discussed as a potential funding source for park construction, but no funding allocation was considered.
