Library Advisory Committee Meeting, 10/28/2026

The City of Laredo Library Advisory Committee met on October 28, 2026. Members approved the prior meeting minutes and reviewed the library’s quarterly program report, upcoming programs and services, and monthly statistics. Discussion covered community events, book clubs, children’s and teen programming, bilingual access, and library usage, including approximately 32,000 visitors in September and 12,000 print jobs; printing costs 15 cents per page. Staff agreed to follow up with additional information about event attendance and whether a children’s program is offered in Spanish. The committee also discussed Texas Library Association membership forms, which members could submit by the December meeting.

The committee approved the minutes and later voted to adjourn. No contracts, procurement decisions, budget allocations, or other spending actions were identified.
