10/29/2026 Riley County Commission Meeting

At the October 29, 2026 Riley County Commission meeting, commissioners received an update on a state funding request through Make My Move. State review found that applications collectively exceeded available funding by about $120,000, and the county’s proposed adjustment was approximately $1,974; staff were preparing a revised request for discussion at a later meeting. The county counselor also reported that indigent defense service contracts were being circulated for attorney signatures. The proposed agreements would run five years and include a 5.5% increase, with annual increases considered through the budget process; the contracts had not yet come before the commission for approval.
