Leesburg Planning and Zoning Meeting Oct 22,2026

The Leesburg Planning Commission meeting was held October 22, 2026. The commission approved the minutes and considered land-use cases. It voted to postpone the County Road 448 Float small-scale comprehensive plan amendment (SSCP 26-14-64) and planned unit development (PUD 26-14-65) to November 19, 2026. The Leesburg Square mixed-use application (SPUD 26-14-68) was postponed to December 17, 2026, at the applicant’s request to allow more time to provide information and avoid the cost of repeat advertising.

The commission unanimously approved variance VAR 26-10-47 for two homes on Lancaster Avenue and Thomas Avenue to address a required garage that had been omitted from permits because of a staff review error. Staff said it had revised checklists and procedures to prevent similar errors. No contracts, purchases, procurement awards, or budget allocations were discussed.
