10/27/26 Planning Commission

The Coffee County Planning Commission’s October 27, 2026 meeting included approval of the previous minutes and agenda, and review of an existing bond for Cat Creek Road. The commission unanimously approved a site plan for a privately developed pickleball facility on Blantons Chapel Road (Map 074, Parcel 006.05). The applicant described a maximum playing occupancy of 28, with additional capacity for waiting players, and a stormwater detention design covering two- through 100-year storm events. The facility is expected to be available to the public through membership; no contract award, procurement, or spending amount was discussed.

The commission also considered and approved a request to move a house to 3951 Normandy Road; the discussion placed the destination near the Veterans Hospital area. Members received a presentation on planning-commission training covering ethics, public participation, site-plan review, and the practical review of access, drainage, utilities, and maintenance. No procurement-related votes or budget allocations were identified.
