It approved five recommended inductees for the 2027 Richland One Hall of Fame; board members requested that the selection process and confidentiality practices be reviewed for future classes. The superintendent’s report covered school and community activities and noted improved district outcomes, including an 86.8% graduation rate and 76.9% college- or career-readiness results.
No bids, RFPs, vendor selections, or capital purchases were identified. The board unanimously approved an amendment increasing Internal Auditor Kelvin Washington’s salary by 15.6%, effective July 1, 2026, and unanimously extended Superintendent Todd Walker’s contract through June 30, 2030, with a 2% increase to his annual annuity and five additional annual-leave days. During consent-agenda discussion, staff reported that investment returns had increased and that the district was reviewing its regular banking services and investments to maximize funds. The board also unanimously approved the consent agenda, reported as passing 7–0.
