The Waupaca County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) meeting was held October 30, 2026. Members approved the agenda and previous meeting minutes, updated the committee membership list, and reviewed the annual countywide hazardous materials plan and facility off-site plans. Approval of the updated hazmat plan supports eligibility for future hazmat response equipment grants. The committee also discussed ongoing purchases under an EPCRA hazmat equipment grant: two Level A protective suits had been ordered and received, with additional equipment orders still being completed. No new contract awards, dollar amounts, or procurement votes were reported.

County Highway reported that paving on County End near Highway 45 was planned for the following Tuesday, and that the County B bridge near Manawa was expected to reopen the next day. Next year’s county projects include work on County Highway A and pulverizing and repaving Highway T; the state also plans resurfacing and related work on Highway 110. These were project updates, not new purchasing or bid approvals. Members additionally discussed hazmat team response activity, chemical safety in school laboratories, and emergency coordination during flooding.
