10-27-26 Planning Board Meeting

The City of Boulder Planning Board met on October 27, 2026. No procurement activity, contract awards, purchasing decisions, or spending allocations were identified. The Board concluded two call-up items without calling them up: a proposed 17,000-square-foot, 12-unit student housing building at 965 Broadway and a final plat for the 28th and Colorado subdivision. The main discussion was a preliminary concept review for redevelopment at 2885 East Aurora, proposed as a five-story residential building with approximately 145–150 units, about 150 parking spaces, bike parking, and a multi-use path. The review was advisory, with no formal decision; Board members offered feedback on the path alignment, building height and roofline, grading, landscaping, parking, and solar access.

The Board unanimously approved a land-use map change for 1275 Cherryvale Road and 5995 McSorley Lane, from Rural Lands to Neighborhood 1, incorporating staff’s findings. City Council is scheduled to consider the change alongside the annexation matter. The Board also discussed upcoming meeting dates and a possible future discussion of architectural examples. No procurement-related action was taken.
