At the City of Westfield Board of Public Works and Safety meeting on October 28, 2026, the board approved several purchasing and contracting items. It approved an E&B Paving contract for Phase 2 of the 2026 resurfacing program, funded in part with CCMG funds; approved a final $176,000 change order for the 146th Street and Towne Road project, which remained under its approximately $3 million budget; and approved a $76,500 American Structurepoint proposal to independently review traffic impacts from the proposed Costco development and study the 191st Street corridor. The board also approved a road impact credit agreement for the Wheeler Landing developer to construct a roadway, with the city crediting the cost back to the developer.

Other approvals included authority for the police chief to extend the Axon contract for equipment for next year’s new hires, and a special purchase from SHI International for a backup appliance. The board approved a school resource officer agreement with Westfield Washington Schools, subject to final legal review, and professional-services work for municipal facility space planning and leadership training. It also approved other easement agreements and related property actions. The transcript did not provide amounts for most of these items; motions were generally approved by voice vote.
