Richfield Public Schools held a school board study session on November 2, 2026, focused on revising the district’s strategic-plan vision cards and the measures used to track progress over the next five years. Board members rotated through discussions with district leaders covering equitable academic outcomes and programming, student activities and community engagement, climate and well-being, staff, communications and enrollment, and business and operations. Feedback included concerns about whether assessments capture the full range of student learning, the need to measure belonging and intervention effectiveness, staff recruitment and retention, facility capacity, transportation efficiency, and access to extracurricular activities. Board members also discussed balancing a comprehensive set of measures with clarity and efficiency, avoiding duplicate measures where goals overlap, and examining results for students at the margins and by length of time in the district.
No contract awards, bids, purchasing decisions, spending votes, or other procurement activity were identified. The superintendent said the management team would incorporate the board’s feedback and bring draft vision cards and data back to the board in February, with possible further discussion in March or April and final measures planned for June.
