The City of Boynton Beach’s October 29, 2026 virtual agenda review workshop covered several upcoming procurement and funding items. The Police Department reviewed an ongoing county interlocal agreement for public-safety radios, an FDOT traffic-safety grant for education and enforcement overtime, and a $20,000 JAG grant for holiday-deployment overtime. Delray Beach is contributing $5,000 toward the annual boat parade under a separate interlocal agreement. Other agenda items included a final one-year renewal to purchase drinking-water-treatment ammonia from Tanner Industries; a contract through 2029 for 95-gallon waste cans and recycling bins; a two-year landscape-services contract; and a mulch contract for parks and common areas. Staff also described using the first $84,000 from an FDLE immigration grant totaling approximately $560,000; a related Paragon item had been pulled.
Staff requested rejection of all 12 bids for a project because bids exceeded the budget and the documents, drawings, scope, product rules, and lump-sum pricing did not provide a consistent basis for comparison. Staff said it would review the solicitation, obtain revised plans from West Construction, and re-solicit, potentially within about a month or in early 2027. No votes or contract awards are recorded in this workshop transcript; the items were discussed in preparation for commission consideration.
