The City of Vallejo City Council’s regular meeting on October 27, 2026, approved an agreement with Meter Public Funds, Inc. for investment management services, with a maximum value of $318,000 for January 2027 through December 2029. The city said it had issued an RFP after extending its prior agreement; council members asked about the selection process and performance reporting. Council also accepted an approximately $690,000 federal Port Security Grant for a marine fireboat and approved allocating $500,000 in Measure P funds toward the roughly $1.19 million purchase of a Moose Boats M3-36. The fire department reported receiving proposals for three boats and selecting this model for its capabilities, cost, and local availability. Both items were approved by council vote.

Council also approved a $76,400 Measure P allocation for warming-center activities, an amendment to the navigation-center operator agreement, and a transit grant for round-trip transportation to warming centers. On affordable housing, council introduced an ordinance following the Planning Commission’s Option B recommendation, including a 10-unit project threshold, affordable set-asides, and annual review; the council vote included one no vote. The meeting also included an informational review of the city’s 27 landscape maintenance districts, which collect about $4.6 million annually and hold approximately $27.1 million in reserves; no spending action was taken on that review.
