The Knoxville Beer Board met on October 27, 2026, to review alcohol compliance and beer-permit matters. The beer inspector reported that an October 8 compliance check covered 21 businesses; two sold alcohol to a minor. Dayair Market and Taco Madres, cited for third violations within a rolling two-year period, were referred for suspension/revocation hearings. The board also heard that 76 permit holders had come into compliance with, or surrendered permits under, the cast-class compliance initiative, leaving none more than two years delinquent. A board member requested a future report on permit holders more than one year out of compliance.
