The Bloomington Transportation Commission met on October 26, 2026. No contracts, bids, vendor selections, or spending approvals were identified. The commission approved TCP 2620, 6–1, for six speed tables on East Rogers Road between High Street and Spicewood Lane as part of the traffic-calming and greenways project selection. Staff cited speeding and crash data and discussed emergency-response concerns; no project cost was stated. Staff also reported speed-feedback signage results on Hillside and Atwater, but did not have device costs available. Commissioners asked for a presentation on the 2028–2032 Transportation Improvement Program before the MPO’s planned December 4 adoption; staff agreed to consult internally about whether a presentation could be arranged.

The commission continued TCR 2621, a proposed ordinance defining and regulating micromobility devices and e-motos, to a future regular hearing, with December 7 identified as the earliest likely meeting. Staff will consider feedback on definitions, speed and power thresholds, device access to trails and other facilities, and related restrictions before the packet deadline. This is a policy discussion that may shape future transportation rules, but no final ordinance decision or procurement action occurred. The next special meeting, November 16, was noted for discussion of the College and Walnut redesign.
