Harrisburg City Council’s legislative session on October 27, 2026, approved several grant applications. By 7–0 votes, council authorized applications for up to $2 million for Front Street safety improvements, an additional $200,000 for a signalized intersection at Front and Vaughan Streets, up to $25,000 for a hip-hop seminar, and up to $150,000 for a sidewalk repair and beautification program. Council also approved, 7–0, ratification of a grant application for up to $250,000 to procure equipment and services for a drone-as-first-responder program; the committee report noted a recurring $62,000 docking fee covered for two years by the grant. A $20,000 fire-station remodel grant application and a proposed 2026 budget reallocation were referred to committees, not approved at this session.

Council approved, 7–0, a resolution authorizing the city to negotiate a landowner agreement with the Harrisburg Green Alliance for Reservoir Park fountain restoration. The report cited a $2,500 community grant and a planned $2,500 city contribution, with the alliance pursuing further support. A resolution requesting a plan for a potential off-leash dog park passed 5–2 after an amendment extended the plan deadline from 120 to 180 days; the requested plan is to address locations, estimated costs, funding, operations, and maintenance. Other items referred to committees included the 333 Market Street hotel-conversion plan, a real-property settlement, and disposal of city property. Residents raised concerns about possible data-center development, but council took no action on that issue during the meeting.
