The Granite Falls School Board meeting on September 23, 2026, included updates on facilities and CTE programs. For capital projects, the board discussed ongoing soil testing and feasibility work for athletic-field improvements, with an architect and engineer expected at an October 13 meeting to develop ideas for completing construction planning by spring. The superintendent also reported HVAC and heating improvements, new air conditioning at Crossroads, parking-lot work, and planned lighting upgrades intended to improve energy conservation and compliance. No facility contract awards or spending motions were identified. The CTE director reported an annual Perkins grant of about $16,000 and described grant-funded computer science curriculum and teacher training, as well as continued efforts to pursue additional grants and build industry partnerships.
The board approved the CTE program and a band field trip to the UFO Festival of Bands from November 6–8; the trip involves approximately 51 students, but no cost was stated. The board also adopted Policy 1400, including a change to schedule the single November meeting on the third Wednesday to avoid a Veterans Day conflict. No vendor selections or bid approvals were identified.
