The Stream Palisades Policy Committee met on August 19, 2026, to review and revise district policies. For Policy 105.2, members supported requiring annual renewal of most curriculum exemption requests and removing the permanent-record filing requirement; proposed wording about parental rights will be checked with the solicitor before the policy returns. The committee also reviewed the social media policy, including district-account identification and account access when staff leave, and discussed charter-school transportation requirements in light of a recent Pennsylvania Supreme Court decision and changes to residency-verification responsibilities. Integrated pest management edits were reviewed, including updated application-notification and signage requirements and alignment with state regulations.
For Policy 006 on recording and livestreaming board meetings, members supported adding a fallback to record meetings when livestreaming fails and prohibiting alteration of recordings; staff will circulate draft language for review, with the intent to advance it to a first reading. Weapons-policy questions were deferred to a future meeting. No contracts, vendor selections, purchasing decisions, budget allocations, or other procurement activity were identified.
