The Riverside School Board of Directors met on August 26, 2026. Procurement and budget actions included approval of changes to the KEV School Solutions InTouch software contract, described as supporting school cashiers, the district office, and separate sites for roughly 3,500 imported items. The board also approved a Washington State Department of Commerce interagency agreement to advance an existing grant for Michigan Street work and improve eligibility for future grants. A resolution to transfer funds from the general fund to capital projects was discussed, with approximately $500,000 identified as the expected amount, subject to the fiscal audit; HVAC work was identified as the leading priority, though officials noted funds could be directed to other urgent projects. The district also reported a roughly $600,000 chiller project delayed by supply-chain issues, with completion anticipated next year.
The board approved six no-cost National Federation of State High School Associations coaching courses and an athletic-pass price adjustment. The superintendent reported that the district had signed a contract with Positive Coaching Alliance for coaches’ training and a kickoff activity. Other procurement-related matters included annual online curriculum contracting through Odysseyware/Imagine Learning and student services through the Washington School for the Blind, discussed under the approved consent agenda. Potential sports medicine partnerships with local physical therapy providers were exploratory, not approved contracts. The board also approved revised athletic pass prices: $40 for one adult, $60 for two adults, and $75 for a family.
