At the October 27, 2026 regular meeting of the Lake County Board of Supervisors, the Board approved several contracts and amendments. Sitting as the Lake County Watershed Protection District, it unanimously awarded Coleman Construction LLC a $123,750 contract, following an RFP and contractor review, for the Clover Creek Diversion Channel Habitat Enhancement Project, with work expected to fit a 30-day window. A supervisor offered up to $25,000 in remaining cannabis discretionary funds if additional channel work is needed; no separate allocation was approved. The Board also authorized an agreement with NCE for temporary, as-needed road commissioner services, selecting its $250 hourly rate over RSA+'s $325 rate; the agreement is expected to cover roughly three to four hours weekly and may end when a qualified permanent Public Works Director is hired. The vote was 4–0, with one supervisor recused.

The Board approved Crestwood Behavioral Health’s adult residential and specialty mental health services agreement at a reduced maximum of $500,000 for FY 2026–27, down from the proposed $900,000. It approved a fourth amendment to the county jail medical services agreement with California Forensic Medical Group (CFMG) to incorporate CalAIM justice-involved and medication-assisted treatment services, and approved a $283,360 amendment with Public Consulting Group for the California Outcome and Accountability Program (Cal-OAR). It also approved a Redwood Toxicology Laboratory contract for drug and alcohol testing at $70,000 per fiscal year from July 2026 through June 2029; the contract includes $1,700 for prior-year services. Separately, the Board deferred a request to waive about $27,000 in building permit fees for South Lake County Fire Protection District’s proposed $9 million Hidden Valley Lake fire station, with discussion continuing on costs and potential funding. The Board also advanced updated cross-connection control ordinances to align county water-system rules with state requirements.
