Laramie Planning Commission Meeting - October 26, 2026

The Laramie Planning Commission met on October 26, 2026. The Commission approved a recommendation that City Council amend the zoning map for approximately 31 acres at 1948 Grand Avenue from multifamily R3 to limited business B1, subject to adoption of comprehensive plan amendment COMP 26-002.

The Commission also discussed text amendment 26-00005 concerning nonconforming manufactured-home communities, including replacement-unit footprints, setbacks, fire safety, and responsibility for utility services. A property owner warned that the proposed requirements could impose substantial costs and threaten existing operations. The Commission voted to defer the item to its November 23 meeting and directed staff to clarify utility responsibilities and replacement rules, explain and support the proposed 16-foot separation requirement, remove duplicative language, and improve the background summary. No procurement activity was identified.
