At its October 12, 2026 meeting, the Marysville City Council approved Resolution 2592 updating the 2027 master fee schedule, including rates for water, wastewater, stormwater, solid waste, capital improvement charges, and other city services. The water, wastewater, and stormwater increases were estimated to add about $35 to a typical household’s bill every two months. Council also approved Ordinance 3389, moving water, wastewater, and stormwater fees from various code sections into the council-adopted schedule, and Ordinance 3390, increasing the solid waste utility tax from 10% to 13% and extending it to private solid-waste handlers. The city estimated its own solid-waste tax revenue would rise from about $1.9 million to $2.7 million; that increase was not included in the budget. Resolution 2593, concerning employee pay grids—including a 3% 2027 cost-of-living adjustment for Teamsters—also passed, while negotiations for other represented groups remained ongoing.
The council authorized an annual Washington Traffic Safety Commission agreement supporting DUI and Target Zero enforcement; the region’s grant allocation was about $175,000. It also approved a Snohomish County agreement for a Naloxone kiosk at the city jail at no cost to the city. Two project contract supplements were approved: one with GPS As-Built LLC for irrigation improvements at the golf course (the transcript gives the existing contract amount as $187,250 but does not capture the revised total), and one with David Evans and Associates for construction-phase support on the Ingram Boulevard and 84th Street Northeast pavement preservation project. Separately, staff reported that the department’s House Bill 2015 grant request of $2.3 million resulted in an award of just over $477,000, and the mayor noted an equipment grant to the Fire Department from the Gary Sinise Foundation with Amazon’s participation. Draft 2027 state and federal legislative priorities were slated to return for consideration; no bid review occurred.
