At its October 26, 2026 meeting, Bensalem Township Council approved a resolution designating the property at 4626 Summerton Road for the Local Economic Revitalization Tax Assistance (LERTA) program and separately approved the related ordinance. The measure provides a 10-year exemption on the added assessed value of eligible improvements, while the property’s existing assessed value remains taxable. Officials said the proposed relocation of a confidential, family-owned manufacturer could involve at least $150 million in private investment, including an estimated $30–$50 million in equipment and improvements, and create approximately 230–250 manufacturing jobs. The ordinance includes a one-year application window and provisions tying the tax-abatement baseline to the outcome of a pending assessment appeal; the county and school district must act separately to participate. No public contract award, bid approval, or purchasing decision was identified.

Council also unanimously tabled Holy Ghost Prep’s minor land-development application for tennis courts until December 14, 2026, at the applicant’s request. Staff reported that work on the Armstrong property was progressing, with vegetation removal and mobilization of materials and machinery expected, followed by construction work when ready. No contract amount or vendor was stated for that work.
